◉ The long long wait is over. Phil Mison's Cantoma project fourth album ''Into Daylight'' released on May the first. The standard Cantoma's music remains impressively high throughout of the album and which delivers even more organic melodious cuts.

Its early singles, summer's 2018 personal highlight ''Verdana'' and the well kept secret original version of ''Kasoto'' Eastern magic are here. A bunch of collaborations with David Philips, Hush Forever, Jo Jo Mendy, Luna Asteri, Suad Khalifa and Quinn•Lamont•Luke, the last one is singing on the main title and opening track ''Back Into Daylight''. The kosmike folk of ''Space For Us'' will take you over familiar old scenes and melodies.

The japanese tour inspired ''A Night At Apres Midi'' is sharing a London, Pacific and Barcelona local-global northen soul view. ''Another Place'', Cantoma's soul-est moment ever... Each song as you may guess a special and carefully put together songwriting. ''Solando'' the Balearic guitar sol hymn with Luna Asteri Hispano vocals which accompany the tune looks like my first love affair from the album, her appearance on folk-delia ''Closer'' looks like the second, time will show. The track begins with an alluring atmosphere that along its bass-driven rhythm and melodica's melancholia is spreading a strong reminiscent of 80 that even vaporwave producer can't even imagined. On the flip Patrick Jahn's take on his father's original is a Balearic breezy synth jam. The 1987 version's synth-boogie fusion is enriched by synthesizer motifs, gentle percussion and effects and that's more a Balearic than slow funk track. Even this one looks like it had fallen through a space-time vortex from 1987, it is a representation of today's desire for hidden treasures and looks perfect to stand next to first Growing Bin's 7'', even label's Moon B's ''Lifeworld'' offer.
