Already a couple of killer 12" singles built the welcome on this ambitious release which are just only a small teaser of it as any part of it deserves its vinyl release. As Calm own’s Mellow Mellow Acid Remix on his downtempo jazz ‘’Mellow Mellow Sadness’’ re-imagined it over a dusty soft breaks and deep acid house oriented pseudo samba that takes to early Balearic Beat flavour and Mind Fair’s one on the dreamy ‘feels like home’ of the soft percussive jazz motive ‘’My Home Town’’ on a kind of organic Balearic disco delights we all been in the mood of ’’By Your Side’’ remixes. The Eastern detour of International Feel - Mark Barrott’s Remix on ‘’Space Is The Place’’ and the outstanding My Friend Dario's – one of my current favourite names - Etna Breeze Remix on ‘’Shadows and Lights’’ which sets a magnificent Mediterranean soundscape based on the principles of Balearic genre on ''Shadows And Lights'', a Calm’s career milestone track for me, we guaranteed that more will come.
J-Walk Remix on ‘’Afterglow and First Star’’ is a intergalactic and sky view over the land of ‘’By Your Side’’ land. Slo-mo soul and boogie vibes set a parallel adventure as on project latest album on the most soulful’s Calm’s original. A name that never heard before, Yuri Shulgin, offers the most weird part of the album. His take on ‘’Ending of Summer, Beginning of Autumn’’, the right soundtrack of the season, comes from space and moves in the darker hours of the day and changes its colour and shape twice. Hell Yeah’s brand Gallo sets his own Mellow Mellow Acid view that portrays a kind indie and cosmic sound, something far from what we heard from him but perfect for Calm Original ‘’Sky, Color, Passing’’. Old schooler Lucas Croon is responsible for turning upside down the Balearic disco of ‘’Before Landing’’. His Lucas Croon Remix is killer, something that stand next to new beat trend, Balearic Beat madness and euro house funkiness. Acid and tweaked like a vaporwave tune, it is like one of the most alternative take on the release. Our Balearic Don, Phil Mison and his Cantoma project Remix forget his favourite sunsets for a while as remixed ‘’You Can See The Sunrise Again’’, the closing track of the original album and offer it a smooth interference so close to the Noche Espanola sound. At last but not least ‘’Afterglow And First Star’’ appeared twice on the album as a bonus track remix by Quiroga this.
