The king of studio funk is back. Back on board and one step higher from the level who he left us with his last year's ''Funk Around The Sun''. ''Big Day'' is solid and ready to shake big nights, for as much as it becomes clear that it will be a piece of smoked (unfortunately, at least in Greece) bar culture. The tying of the tracks and set up of the whole album has that magic and shape of a vinyl DJ weapon. On this level the synths appeared to accompany the raw funk sound under the deliberate to rouse you tracks.
