‘’Mielentilaa’’ was love at first sight. I had a lot of time to fall in
love, the last time was back in 2012 while Aylin’s ‘’Cloud’’ from
Romania was released. Timo Lassy, my fave tenor saxophonist, member of
the legendary and my favorite jazz band in the world, The Five Corners
Quintet and pioneer of the contemporary jazz sound of Finland and
Europe, did it again. Never heard him like this before, so mixed
romantic and moody. His smooth production on ‘’Mielentilaa’’ made to be
performed by Anna Puu and her emotive lyrics (I guess), the magic of
Finnish language is perfectly following the shuffling jazzy drums, the
gentle Brazillian rhythm and her absolutely colourful vocals. In the end
I have to mention that is really rare and hard for me to hear a tune
more than one time, but this rule is not made for ‘’Mielentilaa’’, i'm
