H μετριοπάθεια του CraIg Dyer φαίνεται πως ανταμείφθηκε, καθώς μετά από μια μνημειώδη - όπως ο ίδιος έσπευσε να τονίσει - ελληνική περιοδεία το 2012, ακολούθησαν απανωτές εμφανίσεις, διατρέχοντας όλα τα μήκη και πλάτη της Ευρωπαικής ηπείρου. Γεγονός, ωστόσο, που δεν υποσκέλισε ούτε κατ’ ελάχιστο την παροιμιώδη παραγωγικότητα του, αφού πρόλαβε να μας παραδώσει την Άνοιξη, ένα ακόμη δείγμα του αστείρευτου ρομαντισμού του, The Perfect Enemy For God.

Οι Underground Youth επισκέπτονται εκ νέου, τον Ιανουάριο το 2014, την Ελλάδα στα πλαίσια προώθησης της νεότερης εκδοχής τους, όπου οι shoegaze εμμονές και το νεοψυχεδελικό υπόβαθρο, σταθεροί άξονες αναφοράς τους, οικειοποιούνται πιο εσωστρεφείς και κλειστοφοβικές, post-punk μορφές έκφρασης.

PSYCHEDELIC TRIPS TO DEATH (Thessaloniki)

Επηρεασμένοι από το θόρυβο των Jesus and Mary Chain και το σκοτάδι των Joy Division, οι Psychedelic Trips To Death ξεκίνησαν να γράφουν και να παίζουν δυνατά μουσική το 2010. Το δισκογραφικό ντεμπούτο γίνεται στα τέλη του 2012,ονομάζεται “MALIBU” και πρόκειται για μια ανεξάρτητη κυκλοφορία.

Τραγούδια του άλμπουμ συγκαταλέχτηκαν σε εγχώριες συλλογές αλλά και του εξωτερικού. Η μπάντα ηχογράφησε ειδικά για την συλλογή του The Blog That Celebrates ItSelf “The Psychedelic Sounds Of…Vol.2”, μια θορυβώδη διασκευή του ‘Bang Bang’ της Nancy Sinatra. Έχουν μοιραστεί τη σκηνή με μπάντες όπως οι Black Angels,iLikeTrains,The Underground Youth,Singapore Sling κ.α.

Σας προσκαλω αυτη την Κυριακη για μια ακομη φορα στο καλαισθητο και ζεστο ''Mικρο'' (Διατηρητέο) για να γιορτασουμε μαζι τα 10 χρονια της ραδιοφωνικης μου εκπομπης Nova Planet Radio Show η ποια ξεκινησε (Ξεκινημενη…) το Δεκεμβρη του 2003. Σε αυτό το event ηθελα κατι μοναδικο και δε θα μπορουσε να ηταν κατι άλλο από τη guest DJ εμφανιση του mister T. (Cold Busted/US), του DJ που βρισκοταν στα decks του beach bar το καλοκαιρι του 2003 οπου μου εγινε από το πουθενα η προταση να κανω μια ραδιοφωνικη εκπομπη στο Rodon FM και του παραγωγου που συνεθεσε το επισημο κομματι για τα 10 χρονια αυτης, το ‘’Nova Style’’. Από μουσικης αππψης, στο event θα συμπλεριλαβω μουσικη από τα αγαπημενα μου αλμπουμ αυτά τα 10 χρονια, αρχικα κυριως από τη κυρια πλατφορμα της μουσικης μου τη μοντερνα jazz, soul, funk & sofisticated ηλεκτρονικη, αποσπασματα από ολες τις δισκογραφικες μου δουλειες (και τις επομενες) και φυσικα καθως θα περνανε η ωρες αναλογα και την ατμοσφαιρα που θα δημιουργηθει και από τους δυο μας, το Party Zone θα είναι όπως συνηθως αναποφευκτο. Φυσικα εχω ηδη ειδοποιησει και τον Alex Pro να είναι ετοιμος για όλα…

My radio show "Nova Planet Radio Show" is turning 10 this month (I had the first show in December 2003) and you are invited to celebrate with me this coming Sunday at the elegant & cozy "Mikro" (Diatiriteo) in downtown Thessaloniki. I really wanted something special for this event and I couldn't ask for anything better than a guest DJ appearance by Mister T (Cold Busted/US). He was on the decks of a Greek beach bar in summer 2003 when I was asked to start a show on Rodon FM. He is also the producer who wrote "Nova Style", the official track of the 10-year anniversary. Music-wise the event will showcase a lot of my favorite albums of these past 10 years, starting with my main genres like nu jazz, soul, funk & sophisticated electronica, moving into samples of my past & future compilation releases, and eventually into the "party zone" that seems inevitable at most of my events. Fellow DJ Alex Pro has also been "forewarned" accordingly.

This is really a well done package well better album,of Remixes. ‘’Rare To The Bone’’ on Umbo’s superfly soul Remix is like dancefloor James Brown jazz-o-funk-oroma. Omegaman Remix on ‘’Cut And Run’’ is adding a lot of sunshine summer funk. ‘’Sunshine Groove’’ one of my fave tracks on the Original album got two of the best Remixes on the release, Mr Chombee’s – more closer to the Original - and Kaleidoscope Jukebox’s chilled intoxicated funk Remix one. Mojo Rising Remix on the first single of ‘’Play It Loud’’, ‘’Catch Me If You Can’’ has a uhh wicked & lazy hypno hip hop funk on it. Funny and cool is the Remix of the unstoptable Es-K on ‘’Soul Jazz Experience’’, he did it probably after been drunk and go home stumbling. ‘’The Party’’ on Jayl Funk Remix got the classic Greek DJ Style vibe, will be loved and played here, I’m sure, I like a lot its breakdown. Green Street Remix on is a little bit dark for me but I’m like so much its beat philosophy, reminds me 80's UK soul ready to became acid jazz beats. The crazy dub head My Neighbour Is offers two really dope Remixes on the 7’’ release of the album, ‘’The Party’’ and ‘’Afro Fillings’’ - this one is my other Original album favorite track - which turns to be one super Nova dub styla sunlighted dynamiteAstro Raph Gangsta Sweep Remix offers a closer to the Original sound, he opened the light and added some lay back lounge funk mood too. Didn’t feel the whole project of the album but nonetheless i like a lot separate tracks like the jazzy ‘’Jazzmonaut’’ soul and blues sound of ‘’See You Fall’’ and ‘’Long Way From Home’’. What to remember first? I really didn’t know what to play first, so I improvised & included tracks from my discography so far, track from my fave album of the year (Lord Echo), my fave single of the year (Jono McCleery) & music that is a part of my show those years like the main platform, the jazz & beyond (soul, funk & intrumental hop hop) plus the Brazillian music, Japanese, blue eyed jazz and soul of eighties, Balearic & early house sound.
