Με τις συναυλίες που θα δώσουν την Παρασκευή 15 Ιουνίου 2012, στις 9:30 το βράδυ, τα συγκροτήματα «Your Hand in Mine» και «2L8» ολοκληρώνεται το 1ο Μουσικό Φεστιβάλ, υπό τον τίτλο «Support your local heroes», που διοργανώνει ο Δήμος Θεσσαλονίκης.

Τα δύο γκρουπ θα εμφανιστούν στον εξωτερικό χώρο του Νέου Δημαρχείου.

Υπενθυμίζεται ότι στο πλαίσιο της διοργάνωσης, ο Δήμος Θεσσαλονίκης παραχωρεί τις υποδομές και το ανθρώπινο δυναμικό του, αρχικά σε έξι συγκροτήματα από την ποπ και ροκ σκηνή της πόλης.

«Φιλοσοφία και στόχος του 1^ου Μουσικού Φεστιβάλ, είναι να δοθεί η δυνατότητα στους ‘’τοπικούς ήρωες’’, τους μουσικούς και τα συγκροτήματα της πόλης, να παρουσιάσουν τη δουλειά τους στους Θεσσαλονικείς και στη συνέχεια, με την κατάλληλη ώθηση, να γίνουν γνωστοί σε ένα ευρύτερο κοινό από την Ελλάδα και το εξωτερικό» τονίζει ο Αντιδήμαρχος Πολιτισμού και Τουρισμού Σπύρος Πέγκας και συνεχίζει: «υπάρχει κατά γενική ομολογία, μία σκηνή που δημιουργείται τα τελευταία χρόνια εκ νέου στη Θεσσαλονίκη, με πολλά και αξιόλογα σχήματα, που παίζουν διαφορετικά είδη μουσικής, η οποία αξίζει να προβληθεί και με τη σειρά της να βοηθήσει στην ανάδειξη της πολυσυλλεκτικής ταυτότητας της πόλης».

Τους «τοπικούς ήρωες» φιλοξενεί στην εκπομπή της με τίτλο «Η ζωή όπως μας αρέσει!» στον 958 της ΕΡΤ3, τα τελευταία έξι χρόνια, η δημοσιογράφος Εύα Κουσιοπούλου με σύνθημα «Support your local heroes, support your local bands».

Η είσοδος στις συναυλίες για το κοινό είναι ελεύθερη.

Οι Your hand in Mine..

… είναι ο Μάνος Μυλωνάκης και ο Γιώργος Παπαδόπουλος, δυο φίλοι από τη Θεσσαλονίκη, που αποφάσισαν να εκφράσουν την αγάπη τους για τα ακουστικά όργανα, τη νορμανδική φολκ και τους πλανόδιους μουσικούς μέσα από το ντουέτο που δημιούργησαν το 2006. Με μια συλλογή από αυτοσχέδια όργανα και τεχνικές live-looping παρουσιάζουν μια νέο-ρομαντική, έντονα προσωπική μουσική δωματίου, γοητεύοντας ένα διαρκώς διευρυνόμενο κοινό. Το 2007 κυκλοφόρησαν σε 100 χειροποίητα αντίτυπα τις τέσσερις πρώτες ηχογραφήσεις τους σε μορφή cd, με αφετηρία τη σύγχρονη δυτικοευρωπαϊκή φολκ, αλλά και τον πειραματισμό, ενώ το ίδιο καλοκαίρι, μετά από ανάθεση του Φεστιβάλ Κινηματογράφου Θεσσαλονίκης, συνέθεσαν πρωτότυπη μουσική για το βουβό αριστούργημα του Mikio Naruse, “Every Night Dreams”. Φέτος, επανέρχονται με τη νέα δουλειά τους, εννέα ηχητικά διηγήματα, εννέα μικρές αυτοτελείς ιστορίες μετουσιωμένες σε νότες στο δεύτερο άλμπουμ τους με τίτλο “The Garden Novels” από την Inner-Ear records.

Οι 2L8…

… είναι το project του Κ the Clown και μιας πολυμελούς ομάδας μουσικών και συνεργατών με βάση τη Θεσσαλονίκη. Το ντεμπούτο των 2L8 “Armed Angels, Frustrated Youth, the Art of Self-Deceit and Music Industry” (2005) Poeta Negra Records, είχε μεγάλη απήχηση σε κριτικούς και κοινό. Το “HE & SHE, Angry Enough To Keep Loving In The Dark Ages” (Δεκέμβριος 2008) ήταν η δεύτερη κυκλοφορία των 2L8. Χωρίς την εμμονή σε συγκεκριμένες μουσικές φόρμες ισορροπεί ανάμεσα στο post rock και τον μινιμαλισμό. Ο θεατρικός χαρακτήρας της ερμηνείας του Κ the Clown (Κώστα Βοζίκη) συμπληρώνεται από έντονα ξεσπάσματα στις κιθάρες, έγχορδα που πριονίζουν και αιχμηρές ατμόσφαιρες, οι οποίες εναλλάσσονται με οπερετικά φωνητικά και μελωδίες άκρατου συναισθηματισμού και λυρισμού. Στη συναυλία τους στο Δημαρχείο θα παρουσιάσουν κομμάτια από το νέο τους διπλό άλμπουμ “New Battles, without honor and humanity”, με οκτώ μουσικούς επί σκηνής, καθώς και παλαιότερες συνθέσεις του σχήματος.
