When I got the first promo campaings of new Mr Day’s album i get the sense that this will be a rock album. Now that I already listened this exceptional long player I have the right image of what really is. As I’m not attending rock music anymore, more than 10 year now and all those guitars seemed that are pieces of my past, misled by ‘’Food For Soul’’ even soul was in its title. But as the album rolls easily I lost in its magic, in its raw soul and rock mixture from the sixties, a decade that never was so familiar to my ears to be honest. I found too many similarities with the sound of Paul Weller from the mod’s rock sound of Jam who crossed the 80’s with and the blue-eyed British soul of Style Council found in the next decade where he started. So Mr Day, one more Multifaceted artist, after a lot of collaborations in deep house, nu jazz, reggae and soul make one more step to his musical roots and the UK soul roots. On ‘’Right On’’, ‘’Follow You’’, ‘’Caveman’’, ‘’Queen Of The Minstrels’’ and ‘’Dry Up In The Sun’’ the sound of early soul is overflowing sweet and successful married with the voice of Mr Day and his band, that Mr Day this time is complete band. My player stuck on groovy ‘’Forgotten Realms’’… I hope you mouse will stuck on the best digital shops around to get a copy… - Dj Nova Nova Planet Radio Show
