BJ018 Colm K - Basics 12'' (Bastard Jazz/US)

Colm K is a favourite producer of mine. He is doing great re:edits and productions from dub ‘til to the most stylus and elegant gentle hip hop beats sounds like ‘’Basics’’ belongs to. ‘’Basics’’ was a fave track from 2010 and included in my fave compilation of last year, ‘’ We Made This Volume 1’’ by Fun Your Ear and it is a big pleasure to see out as a 12’’ soon. Original still sounds fresh and from the remixes I like Colm K’s Uptown Dub. Alister Johnson goes on smooth dubstep paths, like the atmosfear but I missed the paino strings on his remix, Dhundee volted the jazzy atmosfear of the original and the result is really enjoyable, Jugoe did the same and succeed too. Part Time Heros Vs Patchwork Pirates Remix is smooth drum n bass but this sounds didn’t touch me the latest years. In the end the extra track of the EP, that already was inluded in a previous Bastard Jazz EP, ‘’Love To Love You’’ don’t need more than a remind that was a track of the month in my radio show. - Dj Nova Nova Planet Radio Show
