B9 10 001 Shareholder Tom - Wanna Dance EP (Büro.9 Music/DE)

A EP full of suprices. I was expected an EP with remixes from Shareholder Tom new album ‘’Havanna Asmara Via Colonia’’ but despite this I received this EP with these three not included in the album tracks. "Wanna Dance", already played by Christos Kedras, was released back in 1993 says the press info, 18 years before, really was supriced with that fact. Shareholder Tom refreshed it for twentyeleven and the result is a latinesque seventies NYC disco anthem with Peacelounge vocalist Alison Degbe. Then come Capitol’s ‘’Cool Jerk’’ cover, a piano driven breakbeat soul boogaloo bar culture forthcoming bomb. At last and not least the third track in this EP is my fave one. "Ishaga" is a small precious diamond. Latin elements and fusion analogue synths, a jazzy flute and with afro horns and xylophone over and cool and funky rhythm can’t be ignored by me. - DJ Nova, Nova Planet Radio Show
