This is the moment that all we’ve been waiting for. ‘’Bossa Nova Just Smells Funky’’ was my album of the year last year and via my radio show we’ve heard lot of the forthcoming remixes. ‘’Bossa Nova Just Smells Funky (Remixed)’’ will be released in one week and is really DOPE. A connection, collections of the best remixes and producer of scene, fresh as Bahama Soul Club is, invited to remix it. And remixers succeed. Suonho from Italy, that his name was around the whole 2010 with lot of remixes, did his magics on ‘’Afro Shigida’’. This afro bossa tune reshaped on the coolest deep disco funk tune that heard lately. Warm soul keys and the electrified now original guitar riffs did a slowburn wanna make you wet monster. Valiqueeeeeee, from Moscow was really hungry. Hungry like a funky wolf. He bit twice ‘’Bossa Nova Just Smells Funky’’. The result was a full up Valique, a Hop Bop tasty ‘’Bossa Bop’’ and a serious so serious ‘’Serious Soul’’ superfly electro funk that you can hard ignore, seriously. The usual ‘’Junkie’’ stayed in German ground was out of control to travel more far away. But you will be find soon everywhere this ‘’Junkie’’ with the afro reggetron like soul bossa of Quincy Joints and super reshape of retro studio chef Tape Five. Another fave tune from the original album, ‘’King’s Wig’’ gets a seventies film spy hunting by Renegades of Jazz in a breakbeat style. UK soul sound reshapes into a live funky weapon ‘’Bossa Corcovando’’, put the blame on Dr Rubberfunk and enjoy the guitar riff that blow up my mind. Club De Beluges after his best ‘’But Rich Rhythm’’ remix hip hoping the ‘’Experience In Jazz’’ and your ears and foot will be probably live an experience in a slow down sexy dance. Mop Mop on the same track did us a surpice, a dub like Grace Jones remix was his latest unexpected slo(w) mop gift for us. May in Argentina the tango starts dying, in Bahama Soul Club state is growing up. ‘’Tangossa’’ remixed three times, yes three. Two for the material world and one more for the digital one. Acousmatic Group did their best remix, a remix full of soft afro percussions, soul keys and cinematic atmosfear that can easyly confused you about the decade that was made.
