Still Music, one of my fave house labels from Chicago, and not ony, is back… Percussion:ed ’’Strongholds (Cast Em Down)’’ is mad guitar driven tech track with gentle keyz and high speed spacy synths, simply a dynamite. More soulful but not less uplifting ‘Fly Like Eagles’’ sounds not so far away from a techno monster but the jazz & soul spirit in it plus the real discoteque bassline put it on the jazz in the house category. Rich horns and clever keyz give a spicy sauce when rhodes starting. In the end the release packet is including Marcus Worgull remix on main track ‘’Strongholds (Cast Em Down)’’. His touch is more deep tech and minimal than the original track, with old school beat machine and hidden trans europe express spirit, more closer to detroit than to chicago and more close to Zurich’s Drumpoet Community new school philoshophy.
